– Considering how hard we’ve had to fight in this race, third place is a fantastic result, team captain Mikael Lindnord says.

The team line-up with; Mikael Lindnord, Staffan Björklund, Karen Lundgren and Jonas Andersson raced through a hilly Swaziland the last few days. They have cycled and run through zebra herds and paddled with crocodiles.

The team started strong and was at the very top together with the local favourites Merrell from South Africa. After almost two days of racing, the top six teams bunched up at the riverbanks in a so-called dark zone – race rules said no one could enter the water in darkness.

– We knew this would happen, and we also knew that we had to race really hard in this restart, Mikael says.
